I worked with Oris at Hearst Castle.  He was a good man- generous, thoughtful, smart and had a good sense of humor.  We miss you Oris!

First, I want to say how deeply sorry I am that I can’t be there in person today. Not being able to attend weighs heavily on my heart, but I hope these words honor someone who meant so much to our family.

Through my years with the family lil "O" grew on me in ways I didn’t realize until it was too late. When I heard of his passing, I was devastated. Even from a distance, he was part of our family rhythm, and that loss hit hard.
His sudden passing left us heartbroken and stunned. As strong and stubborn as he was, no one imagined at 47 those would be his final days. The shock still doesn’t feel real.
But I want to focus on the life he lived. He was a father, a grandfather, and a man who found the love of his life — a lifelong partner. His journey wasn’t easy, but what matters is how he grew. He found God. He found stability. He found pride in himself. He built a life he could look at and say, “I did this.” Many people reach 50 having achieved far less.
And one thing about him — he was funny. Full of jokes and laughter, he had a way of saying something at just the right moment to make everyone crack up. He brought joy into rooms without trying. That kind of humor is a gift, and he shared it freely.
Even though he lived up north, I felt connected because he called Uncle Greg all the time — for advice, to vent, or just to laugh. Greg always had the phone on speaker, so I’d usually be there listening… and butting in. After “Big O” passed, those calls became more frequent. Greg wasn’t just his uncle — he was one of the favorites, and you could hear that love in every conversation.
Family meant everything to him. He loved getting everyone together, visiting, laughing, making memories. He shared a deep bond with Todd — two peas in a pod from childhood, inseparable and full of mischief. That connection never faded.
Libby, please know you are always welcome in our home.
May he rest peacefully, surrounded by the love he brought into this world.

Your music, your entrepreneurial spirit, and your honest advice shaped more lives than you knew.  Above all  you were a genuine and sincere soul.  Grateful for your friendship and our brotherhood. Rest in power my friend. You are missed my brother.

My deepest condolences to my cousin Libby and Oris's family.  I'm  still in shock as I look at this Orbituary.
 I would love when Libby and Oris would come to Anaheim. We literally, would just talk and hang out  for hours.  He always talked highly  about his family and friends.  
His smile could light up any room.  He was one of the GOLDEN ones. RIP 🙏

O treated me like family, he was like a big brother. Ill always appreciate his advice in my life and all the times we sat back having quality conversations. He always encouraged me to be better as a man, emcee, husband, and father. He was a really talented artist. His music was potent. He really desired to have the most for his family, he came through for everyone. He had a few mountains of adversity along his way and by keeping God 1st the mountains were moved. I love you bro and you will be missed by many. God bless your soul.

This memory was just 30 days ago today and the last time I saw O. We reminisced about old shenanigans with the families. So many people at the event approached him to talk & catch up with him. I asked him ‘why do you have so many friends? ‘ which he found funny. I wasn't really surprised. He is such a fun loving man with a big heart. What stood out most this day was the loving look in his eye when he talked to Libby. And how Libby looked at him the exact same way. That love is undeniable. I’ll remember these feelings of love forever.  💔🙏🏼

So sorry for Oris’ passing! His smile lit up my work place and always the gentleman. He will be missed! This world doesn’t have enough kind souls like him. Thanks for my favorite donut with sprinkles Oris! I know you hear me. God bless!

I didn't know Oris well but I knew he looked out for his mom and was a good son.

Oris loved his kids, family and friends but there was an extra special place in his heart for his grandson, Dominic!! Time spent with Dom or even a FaceTime, really made his day. My heart hurts knowing they only had a short time together. 💔

The moment we met in school we both already knew who each other were lol our oldest siblings (Donnie and Lena) were best friends (we all now cousins lol) we walked up, looked at each other and we were linked up until i moved out of Cali!  Oris was my protector during school, he was tough and played absolutely no games! He was funny and had such a huge heart! I wished we had more times together as adults but the love never died!! You will truly be missed!!

Oris and I met at Hearst Castle.  He told me I was the first one to take the time out to ask and remember his name so he made the same effort to remember mine.  We talked about family & goals of him opening food truck then eventually a restaurant serving up his southern specialties.  He loved his family and was looking forward to spending more time with them.  He loved god, country & family and will be missed.
