Arthur “Frank” Bickel, 71, passed away March 14, 2014 at 12:45 A.M. at his home. He was retired from Ford LAP Safety and Security Department after 29 years of service. He also worked 9 years on the former Jefferson County Police Department and 8 years at Rudy’s Green House and was a United States Navy Veteran. Member of AM VETS #61, Knights of Columbus, Assumption Counsel, and St. Athanasius Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel and Babe; brother Ray.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Ballow Bickel; children Gina Kuhn, Tracy Woodland, and Kerry Bickel; grandchildren Ashley Kuhn, Sicily Richert, Adam Kuhn, and Savannah Woodland; great-grandchildren Peyton, Cali, and Noah, and his friends of Cedar Heights.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Okolona. Cremation to follow. Visitation Saturday 3-8 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Sunday until service time.
He was an avid U of L, uU. K., and St. X sports fan. He loved playing golf with his friends at Cedar Heights.
