Alan took me under his wing when I was a carpenter. He encouraged and supported me always. Alan was one of the most positive people I had ever met in the construction business. He refused to call anything a problem. He would say that there is no such thing as problems, only opportunities. Anytime I hear someone use the word “problem” I think of my friend and mentor Alan. He was a good leader and men followed him willingly and respectfully. He left a legacy and I am honored to know this man. I will miss him dearly.

I’ve had the privage of getting to know and work with Alan over the last 9 years. Alan truly had a love and passion for the work he did and the family he had. With Alan there were no such things as problems, only solutions and as Alan loved to say “opportunities”. He took his work seriously, but he also had a unique ability to make it fun. My heart goes out to his family and his many friends who all hurt in this loss. I will be forever greatful for the time I was able to spend with him.

Alan was a great man & will be sadly missed. He was a mentor to me on a couple of projects I worked with him on. He cared deeply about his coworkers & especially took care of the customer. The knowledge that he has taken with him is unforgettable, there is not many like him around any more. He also kept you laughing all day long. Alan your home now with your sweet Julie. Fly high my friend

I first met Alan working on projects for Sun in 2013. In our short time together on start-ups he had a profound impact on me. I cannot think of a single trip he didn't take some time to call his daughter, Kim. He was a mentor and a friend, and he will be dearly missed. I wish the best to his family and offer my sincerest condolences. He had a truly tenacious love for those around him, and put so much effort into all that he did. I will always remember him admirably.

My sincerest regards,

Troy
