Big Al was born on September 27th, 1968, in Louisville Kentucky, to Erskine and Joan Haburne.
Big Al was always happy and carried a smile everywhere he went. He was the family’s comedian, cracking a joke any chance he got. Big Al made friends wherever he went and never met a stranger. He found simple joy in the crisp pop of a fresh Coca-Cola and all the curiosities of life around him.
Big Al was preceded in death by his father, Erskine “PeeWee” Haburne.
He is survived by his mother, Joan Haburne; his soulmate, Angie Decker and her two daughters; his brothers, Mark Haburne, Tim Haburne, and John Haburne (Karen); his sisters, Angie Haburne and Lisa Hill (Seibert); his niece, Brittany Miller; his nephews, Tyler George, Jordan Hill, Aven Hill, Keaton Hill and Prestyn Hill; as well as a host of beloved family members.
A visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday May 18th, 2026, from 3:00PM to 8:00PM. He will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery
