Alice Marie Buckman

Alice M (Robinson) Buckman, 82, Louisville, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father March 30, 2012. She was a former member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and a member of St. Peter the Apostle, Alice graduated from Ahren’s Trade School. She married and became a homemaker. Her interests and hobbies included St. Timothy’s Bingo, PTA, Catholic Golden Age, bowling, Bunko and learning piano. She greatly enjoyed volunteer work at Mount St. Francis Center as well as the Franciscan Shelter House soup kitchen.

She was preceded by her sister Mildred and an infant son, Gerard. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, James, and children, Phil (Betty), Amanda Kuhlman (Jim), Steve (Cookie), Joe, Mary Poore, Paul (Melanie), Becky (Ralph Duncan); 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her brother Bill Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Her funeral mass will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church 5431 Johnsontown Road, with burial in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, 1153 Charles Street; Louisville, KY 40204. Visitation will be on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home 7710 Dixie Highway Louisville, KY 40258.
