Alice Rena Hargrove

On April 2, 2023, Alice R. Hargrove passed away peacefully at age 90 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She had been a bookkeeper for Rudd, Union Trust, Commercial Credit, and for the Trager Family. She is survived by her niece and nephew, Kem Hargrove and Troy (Sarah) Hargrove. Great nieces and nephew Haley Longino, Jaden (Katie) Longino, and Allie and Ainsley Hargrove. Great-Great niece Sophia Slattery and close friends Diane and Eric LeDoux and Garain Hogan. She was preceded in death by her parents Cleavo and Johnnie Hargrove and brother Bud Hargrove.

Alice enjoyed being a member of WIC, the Louisville Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. She was the first woman and the first member of the organization to be selected for the honor of “Boss of the Year.” She was the first person to serve as president for two years as well.

She was a lifelong member of Eastern Parkway Baptist Church.

A visitation for Alice will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218). A funeral service will occur Monday, April 10, 2023 at 3:00 PM.
