Alice Korfhage "Nan" Plenge, 84, of Shepherdsville passed away in peace with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Episcopal Church Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. "Jack" Plenge; parents, John D. and Bertha Korfhage; sister, Mildred Neblett; brother, C.T. "Boob" Korfhage. Survived by her son, Steve Plenge (Barb); daughter, Jennifer Arington (Jimmy); sister, Peggy Dye; grandchildren, Kent Plenge, Kara Smart (John); great-grandchildren; Andrew and Gracie Smart.
Nan faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville. She was a former member of the Shepherdsville Parks and Recreation Board, Bullitt County Health Board, Bullitt County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, former Board Member of the Bulitt Federal Savinga and Loan Association.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Luke's Chapel of the Episcopal Church Home. 7504 Westport Road. Interment will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday from 11-1 p.m. at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Road. Memorial gifts may be made to the St. Luke's Chapel at the Episcopal Church Home.
