64, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017.
She was born October 11, 1952, the daughter of Ernest and Agnes Adams.
A lifelong Louisville resident, she attended Louisville Public Schools and graduated from Central High School in 1970.
Reared in the Catholic faith, Allicia attended and was confirmed at St. Augustine Catholic Church. In later years, she united with St. Stephen Church.
In 1972 she married Charles R. Johnson. To this union two children Adrienne and Parris, who she loved dearly, were born.
Allicia began working at fifteen years old at the Seelbach Hotel. Most of her career was spent in retail, working at JC Penney, Shillito’s (Macy’s), Jacobsons (Von Maur), and Service Merchandise. She also spent several years at Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and as an American General Insurance Agent. She also used her outgoing personality and infectious smile as a volunteer at Jewish Hospital.
An avid U of L women’s basketball fan, Allicia loved following the team. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, dog, and CHS classmates preparing for class reunions.
She leaves to mourn her passing the one daughter Adrienne Johnson (Jennifer) and one son Parris Johnson; brothers Ernest Lee (Rose), Ernest (Betty Jo) and Ronnie Adams; sisters Patricia Booth (Charles), Detra Adams, Marcia Ludlow, and Anita Adams; three loving grandchildren Ajone, Samara and Jameer; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Allicia’s life will be conducted on Monday, April 10, 2017, at St. Stephens Church, 1018 S. 15th Street, visitations will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service to follow.
