She grew up in Park City, KY and lived most of her life in Louisville. She worked many years at Wobbe’s Pharmacy in Crescent Hill doing what she could to support her family. She loved and supported her church, Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, was a a caretaker for her husband, a lover of dogs, loved desserts, UL and UK basketball and enjoyed sitting on her front porch talking to her neighbors.
She is survived by her son Dennis (Louise), grandchildren Melanie Sparks (Adam), Brad McKay, Todd McKay (Lena) and three great grand children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Wilson Miller, her parents Isaac and Lou Thompson, sisters Aline Geis and Verna Shaw, brothers Irvin and Elmer Thompson and numerous step brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the kind and loving services provided by Deversicare of Seneca Place over the past years.
Service to celebrate the life of Alma will be held at 11 am Wednesday, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 4-7 Tuesday, and after 10 am Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be provided to Child’s Spirit, Inc. at 10327 Linn Station, Louisville, KY 40223
