Alvery Amburgey

Amburgey, Alvery, 93, of Louisville, entered into rest on Monday at his residence.

He was a retired furnace operator for Corhart Refractories and an Army veteran of WW II.

Mr. Amburgey was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marie Amburgey.

He is survived by five sons; Loran, Jim, Hassell, Larry and Wayne Amburgey; three daughters, Rosemary Burton, Freda Blevins and Sherry Armstrong; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; a brother Ivol Amburgey and a sister, Lenora Dyer.

His funeral services will be on Friday at noon at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8519 Preston Highway, with interment following in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3pm until 8pm and Thursday from 10am until 8pm.
