

She was born June 15, 1925 in Owensboro KY. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, bowling, camping, and was a longtime member of the WBCCI travel club. She was a parishioner of St Edward Catholic Church for 44 years. Her faith in Jesus Christ sustained her throughout her life and God called her home on December 9, 2010. She will be greatly missed, though we celebrate her new life in heaven. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away (Rev 21:4).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles R. Kendall Sr., whom she married on March 13, 1943; a son, Charles R. Kendall Jr.; and a granddaughter, Laura D. Kendall.
Alvina was a devoted wife and mother and raised three sons. She is survived by her two sons, John P. Kendall Sr., of Gulf Shores, AL and Timothy D. Kendall, of Churubusco, IN. Alvina has six grandchildren, Jill C. Smith, of Redmond, WA, Charles R. Kendall III, of Washington, John P. Kendall Jr., of Bradenton, FL, Paul M. Kendall, of Fort Wayne, Erin M. Kendall, of Churubusco and Justin D. Kendall, of Churubusco.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted Wednesday December 15, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
