Amy was born Aug. 26, 1969, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Lewis James (Jim) Halbleib, and Dorothy P. Willett Halbleib, both of whom preceded her in death.
She graduated from Oldham County High School in 1987. She spent many years working in the food service industry, catering events throughout Louisville. She worked for Waffle House for many years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and affable nature.
A love for the beach and the ocean drew Amy to Florida, where she lived for several years before returning to Louisville. Amy was artistic and demonstrated a creative spark in many of her endeavors, whether cooking a favorite meal for a loved one or putting together a photo album of cherished memories.
She was happiest when spending time with family, especially her 4 grandchildren. Her friends and family will miss her generous heart and Amy’s willingness to give her time to things that were important to her and her family. If you were friend or family, Amy was always happy to see you. She will be remembered for her kindness, her smile, and her eternal optimism.
Amy is survived by her children, Sean (Terra Taylor) Patrick Halbleib and Jonathan Moseley; grandchildren Jordan Cole Halbleib, Jayden Bryce Halbleib, Kayleigh Nicole Halbleib, and Zachary Patrick Halbleib. Additional survivors include brothers James Patrick (Lisa) Halbleib, and Joseph Kevin (Melody) Halbleib; nephew Conor Isaacs Halbleib, and niece Katherine Patricia Halbleib; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 pm. Sunday, January 23, at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Directors, 7410 Westport Road.
