

He was a World War II Veteran, servicing 4 ½ years in the Army Air Corps and was stationed overseas in India as a crew chief on the B-24 Liberator. His working career spanned almost five decades when he retired at the young age of 74 as an accountant and office manager in the highway construction industry with Mattingly Bridge Company and Ambrosius Erecting Company.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Pratt; three brothers, and four sisters.
He was a beloved father and grandfather who was loved so dearly by his family. He is survived by his four children, Michael S. (Deborah) Pratt, Jeffery W. (Diane) Pratt, Tonya K. (Mike) Ursini, and Bradley Keith (Melissa) Pratt; one sister, Edna Rose; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Wednesday July 11, 2012 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
