Born on July 20, 1949, to Elouise and Paul Clore, Anna's life was a testament to her loving nature, selfless spirit, and friendly demeanor.
Anna was a proud graduate of Waggner High School, class of 1967. Her passion for helping others led her to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she earned her degree and became a Registered Nurse. Anna dedicated four decades of her life to Norton Hospital, providing care and comfort to countless patients before her well-deserved retirement.
Though her professional accomplishments were many, Anna often said that her biggest accomplishment was becoming "NANA" to her beloved grandsons, Brendan and Aidan Hoben. Her daughter, Dana Hoben, and her grandsons will forever cherish the memory of her boundless love and the special moments they shared.
Anna's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky, cheering on the Wildcats with as much enthusiasm as any lifelong supporter. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a former member of Christ Methodist Church, where she found fellowship and community.
Her involvement with The Fillies, Inc. showed her dedication to supporting the Kentucky Derby, a testament to her love for her home state's traditions. Anna's joy in these activities was only surpassed by the adoration she had for her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Elouise and Paul Clore, and her husband, Clarke Potter.
Those who knew Anna will remember her as a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a loyal friend. Her selfless nature was evident in her career as a nurse and in the countless small kindnesses she extended to those around her. Anna's friendly presence could light up a room, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the fortune to cross paths with her.
In honoring Anna's life, we will gather on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Arch L. Heady and Son Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, Kentucky 40222 from 4-8PM.
Anna's legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her memory will be treasured forever.
