A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he was special to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His favorite pastime was watching or listening to sports, and he was a passionate UK fan. He was an Army Veteran and a machinist for Phillip Morris until his retirement in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, Irma Bailey; daughter, Joann Burrell; and brother, Raymond Bailey.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Susan Bailey, Arthur Bailey Jr. (Carla), Kim Wilson, and Dana Bailey; Grandchildren, Alexis Coleman, Arthur Bailey III, Johnathan Burrell, Lance Bailey and Ariel Bailey; Great grandchildren, Arthur Bailey IV and Adrian Bailey; Brother, James H. Bailey; and Sister in Law, Joyce Bailey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday at noon at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the service.
