Mr. Sumner was the former owner of Imported Car Service and a World War II veteran.
He is preceded in death by his wife. Pauline; his son, Alexander; and grandchildren, Carrie, Luther Jr. and James.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Aubrey Sumner Jr. (Louise), Luther Sumner (Sandra), Michael Sumner and Barbara Sumner; daughter-in-law, Glenda Sumner; sister, Willa Stockton and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday.
The family would like to request that memorial donations in Aubrey's name be directed to the Shamrock Foundation.
