DeLOOF, AUGUST ALBERT "GUS," 92, of Shively, passed from this life Tuesday January 27, 2009, at Park Terrace. He was a native of Ladora, IA, a retired farmer, a member of Kenwood Heights Christian Church, and an Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Esther Hall; sons, Don DeLoof (Betty) and Dick DeLoof (Erna); a sister, Margaret Burns; and grandchildren, Joy and Carl DeLoof. A celebration of Mr. DeLoof's life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd,. with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday. Memorial gifts may be made to his church.
