Avianna Elise Prentice, age 22, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 20, 2026. Born April 5, 2004, Avianna left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her absence is felt with profound sorrow by all who cherished her.
Avi was a light—someone whose kind heart showed itself in the way she cared for others and in the steady warmth she brought into the lives around her. Her presence could lift a room, and her love for those closest to her was unmistakable. In ways both quiet and unforgettable, Avi inspired others simply by being herself, offering devotion, laughter, and a steadfast willingness to do anything for the people she loved. She will be missed dearly and can never be replaced in our hearts.
Avi was preceded in death by Tio, Fernando Rivera; Tio, Jonathan Rivera; and Abuela, Magdalena Rivera.
Avi is survived by Zulena Murphy, Alex Murphy, Arista Prentice (Tyler), Amiliya Murphy, Detrick Prentice, Keenan Prentice, Tara Davis, Angela Rivera-Smith, Sophia, Braxton, Celestia, Cora, and in the future, baby boy.
Funeral service will be 12:00 pm, Monday, November 9, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218 with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, November 8, 2026 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
