Barbara Sue Hagan

Barbara was born to the late Clarence and Katherine Abrams, and she grew up surrounded by her siblings Alberta Warden, Deloris Nally, Geraldine Abrams, and brother Gene Tillman, all of whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her children Jerry Lee Meeks and Steven Dale Meeks Sr.

Her life took on new meaning when she married her loving husband, Charles B. Hagan. Their partnership spanned over 42 years.

Barbara retired from Phillip Morris after a dedicated 23 and a half years. Barbara's legacy continues through her beloved family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles, and her cherished children, Billy Meeks Jr. (Shirley), James Meeks, Mark Meeks (Judy), Janice Culver, and Elisha Stolberg (David). The joy of Barbara's life was further multiplied by her 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory with them for a lifetime.

A traveler, she held special fondness for the serene beauty of Hawaii. Fishing and gaming were sources of relaxation and time well spent, while family events held a treasured place in her heart. Her favorite occasions were the birthday parties of her grandchildren.

Barbara's life was one full of love and dedication to her family. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

A visitation in Barbara's honor will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 3PM to 8PM. A funeral service will be the following day on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10AM in the funeral home chapel. Barbara will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
