

He retired from United Castalysts, where he worked for 28 years.
Bernard was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was an Old Regular Baptist by faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hasten and Nervie Rowe; sisters, Zelba Rowe, Sarah Hoig, and Catherine Howard; and brothers, William James, Virgil, Estil, Ben, Eddie, Hank, Melvin, and Issac Rowe.
Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Doris Rowe; son, Kenneth Rowe (Debbie); step-children, Paul-Dean Adkins (Debbie), Darrell Wayne Adkins (Paula), Rhonda Jones (Dale), and Dana McAllister (Scott); sisters, Rubby Brown (Lloyd), Mary Wade (Pat), and Hattie Coleman; grandchilren, Angelica Rowe, Kimberly Rowe, Johnathon Rowe, Danielle Maddox; 9 step-grandchilren; and 6 great-grandchilren.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Bernard at noon on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
