Bertha Alice Martin, 89, of South Louisville passed from this life on Saturday January 20, 2018. She was born on January 25, 1928 in Butler County KY to the late George and Helen (Meredith) Willis. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her Husband, William Martin; a son, Jerry Martin; and a grandson, Todd Martin. Left to cherish her memory is a granddaughter, Dana Thompson (Jeff); great grandchildren, Megan and Cole Thompson; and a sister, Alene Woosley. Funeral services for Bertha will be held at noon on Wednesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior’s Project.
