Bess was born in Cass City, Michigan on March 20, 1983 to Garry Bruce and Nancy Fischer Bruce. Bess touched so many people throughout her short 36 years of life. Family and friends will remember her for many things; but mostly for being a fantastic mom to Evie.
Her mom, Nancy Bruce and uncle, Chris Fischer have preceded her in death. Here to carry on her beautiful memory are her daughter, Evelyn Marie Hudson; dad, Garry Lee Bruce (Veronica); sister, BreeAnne Bruce Case (Josh); brother, Beau Michael Bruce; step brothers, Dakota Scott Harman (YuKa) and Austin Lee Harman; two nieces, Avery Elizabeth Case and Mia Grace Harman; nephew, Brayden Michael Case; grandparents, Dwayne and Mary Lou Fischer, Jesse and Patricia Bruce; uncles and aunts, Mark and Karen Fischer, Keith and Diane Fischer, Jim and Marlene Bruce, and Kim Jordan; as well as many loving cousins.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hosparus. Over the past 11 months, they have shown Bess and the family so much love and support through this very difficult time.
Per Bess’s wishes a memorial gathering will take place from 3-6pm on Saturday, February 1st at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A memorial service celebrating her life will take place at 6pm on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Kidney Association or Hosparus Louisville.
