aunt Bessie was a loving sweet caring Christian woman who loved god and her family & friends so much,i didn't get to see her much cause I moved away and got married to a man in Alabama,she will always be in my heart ,I love her and will miss her so much.Shes in heaven with my mom ellen miller (morrow)now and shes watchin over her loved ones.

Bessie Davis was such a sweet lady. It was my privilege to know her and attend church with her for several years at Dixie Valley.  She reminded me so much of my dear grandma.  I am very sorry for her family's loss, but know she is rejoicing in heaven.

It is almost impossible to make heaven brighter than it is as God created it.  But today Bessie's beautiful smile arrived, and heaven is brighter than ever.  I will never forget her soft-spoken love and kindness.  Prayers and love for the entire Davis family.

Even though our hearts are heavy, Roger and I are rejoicing in the fact that Aunt Bessie is in Heaven now.  She's been wanting to go there for a while because each time we would go visit her, she would tell us I just want to go Home!  She's now at a joyous reunion with her many family members and her Church family from Dixie Valley Church of God.  We will continue remembering all of you in our prayers.

My grandma (Bessie Davis) or maw-maw, grandma, and maw-maw Bessie (to my girls).  I want you to know how much I loved you.  You were the best grandmother God could have blessed me with.  You took me in as your own from day one and you loved and nurtured me until your last day.  You helped in raising me, since Chris and I were with you and grandpa a lot growing up.  I remember you taking us on the weekends to 1000 Trails campgrounds and just having fun walking around and exploring the grounds.  Our absolute favorite was playing Uno, Skipbo, and Aggregation with you all.  I remember all the holidays we spent with you, our enormous family all gathered together at your house just enjoying each other and all the food that was made.  I remember spending the night with you and grandpa and (as most grand children do) we'd go through all you cabinets looking for junk food.  I remember you sitting at your sewing machine a lot and letting me watch you, and you helping me sew a stuffed dinosaur for my 8th grade project.  I remember cookouts (with extended family) sitting in your backyard, oh and all the fun Easter egg hunts that we all enjoyed.  I remember that big tree in your backyard that always had hundreds of caterpillars in it and you'd give us a jar to collect them in.  I remember going to Davis-Morrow family reunions with you and how proud you were of all us grandkids.  I remember your love of Christ, and how you always served in church.  You would help in the nursery, as a Sunday school teacher, with dinners, cleaning the church, picking up Bro. Douglas and others to take to church.  Most of all I am thankful for that day you had me helping you clean the church.  I was 10 yrs old and there was a tent revival that night.  At the end of the service you asked me if I was ready to be saved, and took me up to the front and I accepted Jesus into my heart. Boy how you celebrated!!  I am forever grateful for all the things you did for me, and the unconditional love you showed me.  Thank you for praying over me and being a wonderful example for your kids and grandkids.  I am so grateful for all the memories I have of you, grandpa, and uncle Roy, they are priceless!!!  As hard as it is to say goodbye, I know I will see you again!  I love you!
