She was a native of Algona, IA, and the former Betty Christensen. Betty had worked for J.C. Penney in sales, and had been a charter member of Arcade Baptist Church for 53 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lottie Adams Christensen; and her loving husband of 63 years, Paul L. Bennett.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Beverly Earle (Ted "Sam"); grandsons, Sam "Teddy" Earle, Jr. (Wendy) and Tim Earle (Heather); three great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; loving sister and friend, Pat Beam; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty's Celebration of Life service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
