She was retired from the Louisville Police Department, she was a member of the Louisville Zoo, Humane Society, Green Peace, and a volunteer with the Suburban Hospital. She also volunteered at the United Crescent Hill Ministries where she was also involved with their line dancing.
She was a Presbyterian, and attended James Lee's Memorial, and Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her loving dear friends, that were like family to her; Emma Pennington, Chris and Karen Carter & Family, Virginia Harrison, Thelma Sanders, her line dancing buddies, and her beloved poodle, Fred.
A service to celebrate the life of Betty will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son-Cralle Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2428 Frankfort Ave.
with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may call 2-7 p.m. Monday.
