Betty Diane Ernst

Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her brother Jack Moore.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 22 years, John Ernst, as well as her children Alicia Woods, Martin Woods, and Sean Woods (Lauren), along with her siblings Tommy Moore (Pat), Woody Moore (Paula), and Tammy Moore (Todd). She will also be remembered by her many friends and family members.

Betty was a graduate of the University of Louisville, where she obtained her master’s degree in business administration. She worked at Jefferson County Public Schools for many years, where she was an administrator for the adult classes.

In her free time, she enjoyed watching her favorite show “Law and Order, Special Victims Unit” and spending time at the casino. She also enjoyed going to the Siesta Key and visiting Sarasota, Florida.

Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A viewing for Betty will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 12pm to 2:30pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218. A private burial within Evergreen Cemetery will follow the viewing.
