Betty was such an encourager.  She personally understood the countless layers and struggles women have faced through the centuries and even today.  My hope is to share the polished jewels she so gently handed to me and to give them a meaningful voice.  Blessings and my sincere condolences to her dear family and many friends.

To Louis, when my father called me to tell me of Betty's passing I was truly and deeply saddened by her passing.  We only spoke to each other a few times through the years, but she is my fondest memory from childhood and our teen years.  The bond that we had as children will forever hold a place in my heart. The sadness caused by hearing of the death of Betty is great. My memories of Betty are through Life Design, officating basketball which she attended, and talking to her when we would cross paths at Ireand Army Community Hospital. I met Betty back in 1998 when I was at my lowest point and ready to give up. Betty made me see the better side of life. I will always treasure the life changes that she set up for me and know in my heart that she in the reason I am who I am today. Rest in peace Betty

It is always a tragedy when one dies at such a young age, but even more so when it is a person who has rendered so much care for others. Those of us at the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville pass along our thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

I met Betty back in 2009...She was a great person! I am still in shock that she is gone. God has received one of his angels back. She will truly be missed!

it is with sad heart that I learned of Betty's death.  We worked together many years. She had a passion for her therapy work and helped so many....it is her spirit and smile I will hold in memory.
