Kessinger, Betty Jean Hadden, 83, entered into eternal rest on August 27, 2014. Betty retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company after 33 years. She was a member of Preston Highway United Methodist Church, loved dancing and her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Prentice; parents, Ray Hadden and Thelma Utley; son, Prentice Lee Kessinger Jr; daughter, Sheila Rae Kessinger; brother, Charles Hadden; and grandson, Christopher Lee Kessinger.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary Kessinger and Danny Kessinger (Joyce); Terry Elder (Martin); 7 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday at 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 2pm-8pm and Tuesday 10am-2pm at the funeral home. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery will be private.
