Betty J. Logsdon, 89, of Coxs Creek, Kentucky, passed away on September 8, 2026. Born July 10, 1937, Betty will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection by all who had the privilege to know her.
A lifetime member of Okolona Christian Church and a former member of Geth Semane Baptist Church, Betty’s faith and steady presence were enduring parts of her life. She brought warmth to the everyday—never hesitating to show up for others, offering help in practical ways, and giving of herself with a quiet, unwavering generosity.
Betty worked for General electric for many years as a line worker, where she also took part in the company’s bowling league and softball team. She loved to bowl, and her enjoyment of friendly competition and shared laughter carried naturally into the way she lived. Welcoming others in, delighting in game nights, and cherishing time spent with family. In keeping with her giving spirit, after her years at General Electric she worked as an in-home caregiver for many years, continuing a life defined by kindness and selfless service.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Audas and Mary Agnes Audas; her siblings, Kenneth Audas and Margaret Nunn; her son, Terry Sherrard; and her grandson, Sean Sherrard.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rick Logsdon (Kathy) and Lisa Welch (Hermon); her grandchildren, Katie Frazier (Brent), Jessica Druin (Mikey), Michael Sherrard (Santana), Marianne Wilson (Mitchell), Emily Everett (Dustin), and Sara Lewis (Caleb); as well as 10 beloved great-grandchildren whom she cherished.
Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213, on September 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will follow at Evergreen Funeral Home on September 11, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for memorial donations to be made to the Missions Department at Okolona Christian Church.
