Betty Muscutt, age 99, passed away on October 11, 2026. Born November 27, 1926, Betty was the youngest daughter of the late John Brooks and Alice Davidson Brooks. She lived a long life marked by steady faith, deep care for others, and the kind of presence that is not easily replaced or forgotten.
Betty was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where her faithful spirit found both strength and community. She also found joy in the simple, living beauty of a garden, tending it with patience and attention. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Carl Cox; her husband, Jim Muscutt; her 4 brothers and 3 sisters; and her son-in-law, Tom Reid.
Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her two daughters, Pam Reid and Vicki Baker; grandchildren, Tracie Bland (Michael), Beckie Hudson (Billy), Josh Baker (Whittney) and Derrick Baker; 10 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of other beloved family members.
