Aunt Betty, 84 slipped peacefully into the arms of her savior on June 26, 2019.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Prather, of 59 years, along with parents Stanley Graves and Bessie Siddens, sister Margaret Potts and brothers Richard and Fred Graves. Betty is survived by a sister, Mary Kavanaugh and a host of nieces and nephews.
Betty was a resident at Presbyterian Homes of Louisville, Westminster in Buechel.
Betty was a proud military wife following alongside her husband. She served as a volunteer on various committees throughout Grant's career. From there Betty was by Grant's side as he worked for Baptist Hospital as Vice President, in South Carolina. Again Betty served as a volunteer during his career. When they returned home to Louisville, Ky she became involved in church and community. Her final journey was to meet her lifelong friend and love, Grant, and walk hand in hand throughout eternity.

I did not have the privilege of knowing the beautiful Mrs. Betty Prather, but I know her sister, Mrs. Mary Kavanaugh. My deepest sympathy to Mary and the Family. What a wonderful obituary of her life, and a great testimony of the love of two sisters. You are in the arms of your Savior and your forever love, Grant.

She always came here on my Birthday ,Her and Grant to take me out to eat. They drove all the way from Louisville to Alexandria just to do that.
They loved the Grandchildren always brought candy or stuffed animals for Halloween, Valentines ,Christmas
I will miss her but she is with her husband Grant right where she wanted to be.
