She is preceded in death by her husband George P. Rapson Jr., her parents Roy and Beatrice “Tommie” Farmer, and her sister Geraldine Reeves (Leroy).
She is survived by her children: Valerie Heckman (Jerry), Michael Rapson (Cindy), Steve Rapson (Kristi), Robert Rapson (Eydie) and Regina Thoman (Greg); her sisters Pam Payne (Danny) and Beverly Porter (Jim); her sister-in-law Patsy Stoess; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, also, an honorary son Ed Cravens.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Tuesday, 12-8 Wednesday and after 10 am on Thursday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218.
The Funeral Service for Betty will be noon Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel with interment to follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foster Avenue Baptist Church, 525 West Evelyn Avenue, Louisville KY 40215.
