Betty was a graduate of Ahrens Trade School as a commercial artist.
She was an avid Louisville Cardinal fan and Roller Skater.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, William M. Zimmerman; and brothers, James and John McGrath.
Betty is survived by her children, William Zimmerman, Jr. "Bill" (Deanna); Michael Zimmerman (Cindy), Cheryl Craig (Jim), and Linda Shepard (Terry); grandchildren, Kimberly Hislip, Nicole Zimmerman, Jon Zimmerman, Kara Vance, Jennifer Hardigree, and Jimmie Craig, Jr.; sister, Sharon Shively; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A service honoring the life of Betty will be 7pm Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will start at 4pm until time of service on Thursday.
