

Beulah Butler Richard Garner, 86, went into the arms of Jesus on July 9, 2016.
Beulah was born in Napoleonville, Louisiana, April 27, 1930.
She married James D. Richard, Sr. They raised six children in Louisville, Kentucky. Beulah loved to fish and was known for her fish fries and barbeques. She was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain. Always generous, she was a great help to many people - family, neighbors, and others. She was a member of several charitable organizations as well.
Beulah was a deacon and choir member of Buechel Park Baptist Church in Louisville. In recent years, she resided with her son’s family in Malone, New York.
Buelah was predeceased by her parents, Mary Antoine and Thomas Butler; grandparents Mattie and Jack Butler; brothers Richard and Albert; son Thomas; husband James D. Richard, Sr.; and her second husband, Gerald Garner.
She is survived by sisters Hattie Creecy of Marrero, Louisiana, and Audrey Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia; sons James, Jr. (wife Jo) of Malone, Larry (wife Tonie) of Marietta, Georgia, Kenneth, and Michael (wife Marsha) of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter Mary Patrick of Amherst, New York; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We are all comforted to know that Beulah knew Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior, and is now in Heaven with the Lord.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 11 am at Buechel Park Baptist Church,
2403 Hikes Lane, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road.
