Beverly retired from Baptist Hospital East after 35 years of dedicated service.
She found great joy in crafting, reading in her sunroom and collecting antiques. Her greatest joy, however, was the love she shared with her family and friends. Beverly was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister, and loyal friend. She treasured the time she spent with her lifelong friends and the many memories they created together over the years.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, John Howard Smith; her son, Robbie Marvin (Christy); her stepchildren, Robin Handy (Tim), Todd Smith, and Nikki Wooden; her grandchildren, Kelly Schoeffler, Pamela Jenkins, Brandon Smith, Noah Marvin, Kailey Marvin, and Josie Marvin; her great-granddaughter, Sydney Jenkins; her sisters, Belinda Coulter (Steve) and Eva Bentley (Jeff); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A Celebration of Beverly's Life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. Burial will take place on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
Beverly will be remembered for her generous spirit, her creativity, her unwavering love for her family, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be cherished.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation in Beverly’s honor to be made to The Wounded Warriors Project.
