Billy retired from American Air Filter and had a love for bowling. He was also an avid UK fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Gurvis Downing and siblings, Irene McClellan, Harry, Leonard, Thomas, and Wayne Downing.
Billy leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 59 years Marcella Downing, daughters Gail Dennison (Mike) and Kim Robinson(Jeff), grandchildren Wes Napper (Cindy), Chelsey and Davis Robinson and Leslie Fladung and 4 great grandchildren with one blessing on the way.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 12-5pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218 with a funeral service to follow at 5pm. Burial will take place Monday in Neal Cemetery in Monroe County, KY.
