Bobby Ray Hazen, 81 passed away peacefully at his home. Bobby lived a life of service to others. He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member in good standing of American Legion Post 180, VVA, 40 / 8, AFSA 482 and DAV Chapter 89, where he served as Commander 2006-2014.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Carol Hazen; children, Dr. Ray Hazen (Suzan); Bobby D. Hazen (Terry), Anita LeVan (Jim), Gloria Gill (Robb), Julie Mattingly (Paul); sisters, Della Pierce (G.W.) and Doris Ratzlaff (Roy); brothers, Ed Hazen (Judy) and Elvin Hazen (Lynda), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren – the newest Connor Allen (Jenny and David Quinn)
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, June 26, 2015 at Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange, KY.
In lieu of customary expressions, donations may be given to DAV Chapter 89, 3505 Middle Rd. Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
