So sorry for the loss of your Bonnie.  Your love as a couple was so evident whenever you visited Daufuskie Island.  Whether in church or riding around the island, you two were always together and smiling! The world needs more people like you and Bonnie.

Dear Cousin Stanley;   We are pained to learn of your loss of Bonnie.  I recall how my late wife Delia and Bonnie enjoyed speaking with each other at our last family reunion get together now some 12 years back.  It was a pleasure to see them laughing over things.  Our cousin Gary,  Aunt Gladys Hamblin Sebree son asked me to offer his condolences  as well to you all.  He cannot write well after his stroke this past Summer.  God Bless you and family. I'm so sorry to hear of Bonnie's passing. We went to school together, was in the same Girl Scout troop led by her mother.  Bonnie was a kind & caring person. She will be missed.

I was so very sorry to hear of Mrs. Whitaker's passing. She was special to so many people - I'm sure we'll never know how many lives she changed for the better. 

She was my first grade teacher, and I can’t even overstate the impact she had on my own life. I was enough of a disruption in her class back in 1982 that she wrote my mother a page-long letter (which we still have!). But rather than just deciding I was a lost cause who only needed to be strongly discipline, she told my mom and my school that I was just bored and needed to be more challenged. I know that action by her changed the whole trajectory of my life - she really helped give me the right start down the path towards becoming the happy, successful NASA engineer that I am today. 

I am so grateful that I had the chance to reconnect with her via e-mail in recent years, and even share a delightful catching-up breakfast with her and my mom and my husband this fall. I regret that we didn't have more time to get to know each other better all these years later – but I’ll remember her forever with deepest gratitude and love.

Bonnie is now your Angel watching over you while you’re on this earth.   She will always be with you and she will truly be missed by so many.   Thanks for all you do for TJHS.  We are all praying for you.   🙏🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🙏🏼

Bonnie was a wonderful person.  She was kind, sweet, compasionate, funny, caring and always had a smile.  Bonnie and I met at JCHS, she was a sub and everyone always wanted her when they needed a sub.  We became good friends and would make dates to go eat ice cream.  This Thankingsgiving she sent me a text that it was time for ice cream and I told her maybe we should meet for hot cocco instead.   Every holiday she would send me a funny GIF text and I will really miss hearing from her, Bonnie would brighten my day.   She would always talk about her kids, grandkids, Stan and golf.  I will miss her very much,  and I am blessed to have had her for my friend.

❤️  💜 ♥️  With heavy hearts and in loving memory of Mrs. Bonnie J. Whitaker. She and her husband, Mr. Stan Whitaker, were/are amazing and wonderful—they worked together as a team—knowing and loving each and every student in the school where Stan was Harry’s Principal many years ago (1974-1978). 
The students of Thomas Jefferson High School in Louisville, KY are now grown with children and grandchildren of their own. However, they have continued to have close relationships with this unbelievably loving, giving, encouraging, and faithful couple to this day! Bonnie is greatly missed and deserves the greatest honor.

I really enjoyed being your teacher assistant so much when we worked at Wheatley together I will miss you so much . I enjoyed being with you and Stan on different occasions and hanging out at each others house we had so much fun at school .  Miss all the good times we had to together doing skits at Wheatley for all the students . They enjoyed it so much .  I will always remember all the good times we  had together  how all of us got together and made plans with nan baker Lynn read Theresa Robinson and how  the goat climbed into the window from the court yard I hope Bonnie told you that story we had great times .
