Brandie Rena Prosch

Brandie Rena Prosch entered God’s arms on September 10th at the age of 43. Brandie is survived by her father Ron Prosch, her two sisters, Tammy Kurz (David) and Ginny Prosch as well as nieces Taylor Kurz and Bailey Kurz. She is preceded in death by her precious mother, Janice Prosch.

Brandie was born on December 20, 1979, in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a double major in education and business and Indiana University with a Masters in education.

Brandie was a dedicated educator for Spencer County Schools. She spent most of her 18-year career at Taylorsville Elementary School as a beloved primary teacher. Brandie also provided gifted and talented services to students at Spencer County Elementary, Taylorsville Elementary, and Spencer County High School. Brandie will forever be remembered for her ability to build lifelong connections with her students. She dedicated countless hours seeking out materials that were fun and engaging to get her students excited about learning. Remembering Brandie’s quick wit, unforgettable smile, contagious laugh, and incredible sense of humor will forever be cherished by her school family.

Brandie was the baby of the family. She loved music and was always singing. She was so smart and talented, but never wanted to be the center of attention. Brandie was there for her family to make them laugh in even the most difficult situations. She was very responsible, reliable, and put others' needs before her own. Cooking was her therapy and her way of showing love to those she cared about. She excelled in everything except reaching a destination without a couple of u-turns. Brandie will be missed and her family commits to not lose their way until they meet with her again some sweet day.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven starting at 11AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brandie’s life.

John 5:24 states: Verily, verily, I say unto you he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
