Brenda Faye Wheatley

Brenda Prince Wheatley, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on March 10, 2026, peacefully. Brenda was a resilient and devoted woman. Her steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Brenda married her husband, Doug Wheatley, and together they had two children, Mike Wheatley and Stephanie Chesser . She was an executive assistant for Commonwealth Wine and Spirits. Brenda found meaning in a lot of different things, which in turn made her a collector—gathering reminders of what mattered to her and holding them close.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Prince and Anna Benton Prince, and her husband, Frank D. Wheatley.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael Wheatley (Marilinda), and Stephanie Chesser (Troy); siblings, Aliene Spencer, Bill Prince, Janice Dodson (Gary), and Shari Strode (John); grandchildren, Michael Wheatley Jr. (Lauren), Brianna Wheatley, Kyle Meador, Jacob Meador, Philip Wheatley, and Maylee Wheatley; and great-grandchildren, Cody Wheatley, Chloe Wheatley, Charity Wheatley, Caroline Wheatley, Laken Meador, and Brantlee Deaton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crusade for Children and The American Heart association.

Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213, on March 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home on March 21, 2026, at 11:00 am.
