He was born October 30, 1951 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, the son of Marshall and Elizabeth (Fredericks) Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lisa (Noel) Harris, his second wife, Carol Harris and two brothers, John and David Harris.
Joe had worked as a butcher at Kroger, and more recently at J.B Swift. He was a 1969 graduate of Eastern High School and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3909 in Jeffersontown. He loved his dogs and University of Louisville basketball.
Survivors include his only daughter, Brandi Bauer (Jonathan); a sister, Marcia Crouch; three brothers, Mark, Frederick (Sabrina) and Paul Harris; and several nieces, nephews, and his best friend (who was like a brother) Gregg Rogers and his faithful friends, Flash, Angel and Tiger.
A gathering to celebrate Joe’s life will be conducted from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 18 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.
