

Bricie, fondly known as mamaw wrote beautiful poetry. She was famous for her unending faith in Jesus, her beautiful family, her banana pudding, her fried chicken, her beans and cornbread. Her legacy will live on eternally in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the many others who loved her.
Bricie was preceded in death by her parents; Sarah Emmaline Richardson Scott Key & Virgil Scott, her husband, Elzora King Key of 50 plus years; their children, Odell Key, Ronnie Key and Mary “Kathy” Chestnut (Howard), two grandsons Randy Benningfield & Chase Warren & siblings Virgil, Charles, Ralph, Hubert, Lorene and Pauline.
She is survived by her children, Shelia (Kenny), Stella (Randall), Donnita, Johnny (Michie), Mike (Shelley) and Willie; 24 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; siblings, James William, Margaret & Dorothy.
Bricie was known as Ma Key by her church family and was a faithful member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church. She had a personal relationship with The Lord. She had a sweet smile on her face all the time. Some of her favorite things were going to church, reading her bible and being with her family.
Her funeral will be private due to COVID-19.
If you ever got the chance to meet her, she loved you and she told you and from then on, you could call her Mamaw. She showed everyone God’s love.
