

Bruce A Capps, born on July 23, 1950, in Louisville Kentucky, passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 75. He was a beloved, brave, and cherished, known for being devoted, faithful, generous, hard-working, honest, kind-hearted, and loyal.
Born to John Charles Capps Sr. and Margaret Lucille Middleton Capps, Bruce led a life marked by dedication and service. He proudly served in the Marine Corps as a combat veteran, recognized as a marksman and rifle expert. Following his military service, Bruce worked for the NFIB and later owned and operated his own insurance company, Bruce Capps Insurance, from which he retired.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, John Charles Capps Sr. and Margaret Lucille Middleton Capps, his sister Phyllis Williams, and many beloved family members and friends. He leaves behind his sisters, Deborah Hall (Paul) and Sheila Hogan (Steve); brothers, John Capps Jr. (Becky), William "Bill" Capps (Deborah), and Timothy Capps (Valerie); nieces and nephews, Theresa Stinnett (Ricky), Buddy Williams (Carol), Rachel Bertelsen (David), Michelle Hall, Stacey Hall, Stephanie McGarry (Tony), Hogan Polotnik, William Amos Capps Jr. (Julie), Derek Capps (Rebecca), Timothy John Capps (Madison), and many great-nieces and nephews.
Bruce was an active member of his community. He was a member of the Eagles club for over 30 years and participated in Toys For Tots motorcycle rides. He owned a motorcycle parts and repair shop called Pack Rats. Bruce also had a passion for bodybuilding, and martial arts. For over 30 years, he was a devoted member of the Fairdale Christian Church.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27th from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm, visitation resuming Saturday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with service starting at 12:00pm.
