He was born August 11, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA.
Byron was a gentleman who embodied peace, kindness and love. He was always very giving and never asked for anything in return. He was a talented musician and bass player and was a longtime member of Lamont Gillispie and 100 Proof Blues. His physical presence will be missed by so many.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Debbie Knight Davies; his son, Lt. Simon Samuel Davies, USN (Char); step-children, Mike Newton (Renee); Bobbi Jo Warren (Harold), John Newton, Kenny McCubbins; grandchildren, Matthew and Sara Warren; sister, Diane Mott (Bill); his extended family, Sally Davies and Andrea King as well as his beloved Little Lola and Molly.
A service to celebrate Byron’s life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM on Tuesday and from 11 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
