Carl was the epitome of a godly family man, anchored by his faith, moral code and principles. His unconditional love was a constant source of comfort and support, a guiding light through life's challenges with sage advice and kindness.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, cousin, much-loved friend, mentor and a compassionate caretaker for any animal in need. He touched the lives of countless others with his kindness and generosity, leaving an enduring and positive impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and selflessness will continue to inspire for generations to come.
A man of remarkable intellect and dedication, Carl pursued his passion for Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. He later went on to obtain a Master of Engineering from the University of Louisville. His academic achievements were a testament to his relentless pursuit of knowledge and his unwavering commitment to excellence.
At the heart of Carl's pride and joy was his daughter, Dorothy Hatchel, whom he considered his most cherished achievement, speaking of her with an undeniable glow. Moreover, Carl found profound happiness in the presence of his beloved grandchildren, Audrey and Andrew Hatchel, whom he adored dearly. Their laughter and playful spirit brought warmth to his days.
Above all, his love for his wife, Inanama Snook, led them on countless adventures across the United States and the globe. As his journey on this earth came to its close, he found solace in the embrace of his wife, where he peacefully passed away at home in her arms.
A visitation for Carl will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, Kentucky, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
