Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, April 24, 1953, Carlos was the son of the lates' Milburn Sanders & Virgie Durrett. He was a former Superintendent with Duane Realty Group. He was a carpenter and all around handyman. He loved to bowl and could often be found at the casino. Punkin was a hard working man and loved to help people in any way he could, no matter what it was.
Besides his parents, Milburn & Virgie Sanders; his daughter, Shannon Durrett; and sister, Noonia Lea "Wanda" Dulin, precede Punkin in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Debbie Durrett; sons, Michael Durrett and Timmy Durrett; grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Meghan and Savannah; his sister, Cheryl Sanders; his brother, Terry Durrett; several nieces and nephews; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Heady Memorial Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel. Following the Funeral Service, Carlos will be laid to rest in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery, where he will rest alongside his daughter for eternity. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 11:00 - 8:00 p.m. and then again on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Hour of 12:00 p.m. also at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel.
