What a wonderful legacy Mr. & Mrs. Brown created. Not one Warrior in the 70's will ever forget the memories created at Western High School by these loving individuals. They both truly cared about the students as well as each other. Rest in peace.

Susan,
I wanted you to know that your mom was my absolute FAVORITE teacher in all of elementary school. We only got to have music every other week at Medora Elementary. She had so much energy. She gave me a love for music that I said I wanted to be a music teacher just like Mrs. Brown. I went to Georgetown College and started to major in music, but the music theory got me. I still minored in music and have sung in choirs all my life. I did become an elementary teacher and hopefully I loved all my students just like Mrs. Brown.

Mrs Brown was my 2nd grade music at Trunnell Elementary in the mid-60’s; I remember her vividly and fondly. The newspaper picture jumped off of the page as the teacher I knew. Wishing the family peace and a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Mrs. Brown was my 2nd grade music teacher at the new Rockford Lane Elementary in 1954. She was energetic, loving and made a real impression on my life. She loved kids. Over the years as I continued my education there were frequent interactions with her and her husband (Mr. John Brown, Principal at Western High School.) They both made everyone feel special. I went into education and our paths crossed often. There was always a hug and a smile and words of endearment. I have nothing but fond memories of her devotion and love for teaching. She touched many lives and left the world a better place.

I remember her at Trunnell. She was a wonderful teacher. She gave all of us a love for music. I still sing the Trick or Treat song she taught at Halloween, field trips to the orchestra, just so many really good memories.
