I want to extend my sympathy & thoughts to the loss of your mother, Sue Mitchell. I got to know your parents over the years
b/c of their involvement w/ the school, conferences, & other events.
I know she was so proud of all of you- Carie, Tina, Kate, Chuck, & Tony. Even after your days at SRS were over, I would see your parents at different events & she would happily share her joy at how well all of you were doing in your lives. She always had a smile on her face & made a lot of contributions to the school & to the community. May she rest in God's peace. I will pray for her.

Sue worked at DaySpring Adult Day at Sacred Heart Home years back. She was always so upbeat and had a smile that lit up the room. I admired the way she related to the participants whether sharing the newspaper and coffee in the morning or engaging in some type of activity. Her laughter and sense of humor brightened up the dullest day. I am sure those elders returned home feeling contented and happy, looking forward to the next day.

I loved sharing stories and laughter with Sue every Sunday at St Rita. I remember noticing her ankle tatoo as she walked to the alter the first weekend after getting it. She couldn't wait to talk about getting the tatoo, the Lady Cards basketball games and her trips to see her family. She was open to fill in ministry duties, but 'Thessalonians' gave her fits. She was a special person to share life's journey with and gave us many memories to smile about. Love you Sue.

Sue was a generous and loyal friend. I loved being with her and Charlie because they knew half of Louisville, they loved to laugh and they taught me to be a committed Lady Cards fan.

Sue was a woman of faith and she cherished her family above everything.

It was an honor and a gift to know her.

Sue worked with me at Fern Creek Highview United Ministries Adult Day Center for several years and she truly loved working with our participants whenever she could. She had a true passion and talent for working with Alzheimer’s participants and we had a love for working with her. She was so easy to talk to and was a friend to everyone. What a beautiful angel Heaven has gained.
