Carolyn Faye Glass, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 16, 2026. Carolyn will be remembered as a beloved and devoted woman whose life was marked by steady work, quiet strength, and a kind-hearted, selfless commitment to others.
For 25 years, Carolyn served as a nursing assistant, faithfully caring for those who needed her most. In a testament to her hard-working spirit and lifelong dedication to service, she returned to school at the age of 52, earning her Registered Nurse degree at 54. She went on to serve at the VA hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, and retired having done what she truly loved—being of service to others. Throughout her life, Carolyn’s compassion reached far beyond her profession: she cared for numerous disabled children, stood as an advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves, and opened her heart and home to people in need, offering them a place to be and a place to go. In every sense, she was an all-around caregiver.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Bill” Glass; her parents, Calvin and Mary Elizabeth Amig; her son, Kevin Lee Glass; as well as many beloved family members and friends.
Left to cherish Carolyn’s memory are her daughters, Kelly Lehmann (Jim) and Karen Wood (Corey); her grandchildren, Adam Lehmann, Preston Wood, and Klinton Wood; as well as her beloved three Great-Granddaughters.
