Carolyn Marshall Holbrook

Carolyn grew up in Warwick and graduated from Gorton High School Class of 51 and went on to attend Air Age Schools Class of 1953. She met Charles R Holbrook, Sr. who was in the Navy as a SeeBee in 1957 and they married in 1958. They moved to the Kentucky and Indiana area and settled in Louisville, KY and had two sons and raised them there. In 1972 She lost the love of her life, Charles.

Carolyn loved to read all types of books and watch movies involving horses. She was a Johnny Mathis groupie to some extent and would go to different states to see him in concert. She would also travel back to Rhode Island and spend time with all of her cousins at the beaches in New England. She was a stage actor with the As Yet Unnamed Theater Group in Louisville for many years. She loved watching Kentucky basketball and football even though she’d get mad at them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Henry Yeaw; husband; son, Charles R Holbrook, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Holbrook, and grandson, Jared Holbrook.

Funeral service will be 10AM Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218 with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 4-7PM Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
